Guangdong food quality supervision and test station recently tested the packaging of mooncakes in market and detected plasticizers DEHP and DBP in the mooncake boxes of eight brands, including COSTA, PACIFIC COFFEE, Guangzhou Restaurant and Maxims. The reporter found that some of those brands are still available in the market of Nanchang. An official from Nanchang industry and commerce bureau said they hadn’t received any notice to remove those products from shelves yet. Normally, the darker the color is, the higher risk of plasticizers in the plastic material, a food security expert said.
